So, I remember pregnant moms were saying "I'm gonna get a flu shot." and have always wondered if it's safe for them to do so. (I've always been under the impression that you are not suppose to get any kind of vaccinations if you are pregnant.) After one of my very good friends (who's pregnant) said she was getting a flu shot, I decided to look it up on the internet (of course). It is RECOMMENDED for pregnant women to get flu shots. That finding shut my mouth up.
Guess what I found out today while reading on vaccination for my little pumpkin?!
Although it's recommend that pregnant women and nursing moms to get flu shots, they have, however, NEVER BEEN TESTED on such groups to determine if it would cause any harm to the fetus or the young babies. (as it stated on the vaccine product insert.)
WTF is up with that?! I think something's not adding up here.....
